You are beautiful.
We have a tendency to appreciate beauty. If we see someone who is beautiful or handsome, we compliment them, and we tell them how beautiful or handsome they are. But remember, if they are beautiful, it is not on their merits, because they did not create themselves. If someone is handsome, it has nothing to do with them. It is because God created them the way they are.
Therefore, it is not good to appreciate people, looking at them and saying that they are beautiful, and then not appreciate those who are not so beautiful. This is not a good tendency as per the word of God. If someone is beautiful or handsome, let us give credit to God secretly in our mind. We don’t need to do it publicly. We should treat all human beings equally. Their beauty is not of their merit, it is only outwardly.
Therefore, always remember, don’t ever be selective about choosing your friends according to their beauty. It is a human tendency to be selective about your friendship according to a person’s beauty. If someone is beautiful, we make friends with them. If someone is not that beautiful, we are then not that interested. People even call others by nickname as per their appearance, maybe because of their color or shape.
Sirach 11:2 – “Do not praise individuals for their good looks, or loathe anyone because of appearance alone”. If they are good looking, God should be praised and appreciated. It is not the merit of the person who looks good. Suppose if an individual did a beautiful art, we should appreciate them because it is their art, their drawing. So, if someone is handsome and beautiful, then God should be appreciated, not them.
The Bible says, if you want to appreciate someone who is good looking then appreciate everyone equally, because all of them are creation and children of God. We are not supposed to divide human beings, based on color and appearance. This is what we all need to notice and keep in our heart. Let us stop calling people by nicknames based on appearance and shape, because it is not their mistake. Therefore, there is no meaning in hurting them.
So my dear brothers and sisters, let us examine our conscience and clean our hearts of all these unholiness and thank the Lord from our heart.
