In this article, Fr. Joseph assures us that when we pray, God performs mighty acts on our behalf. What these acts entail and how they unfold, we may not know, but certainly, God is at work in every family. If we pray with faith, God will listen to our prayers.
During Adoration
We worship and praise God. When we invoke Jesus’s name and worship before the Blessed Sacrament, giving glory to God, miracles occur in many families. This is Fr. Joseph’s firm belief.
Outreach and Retreats
Often, Fr. Joseph and his team prepare for outreach programs and physical retreats, knowing what they intend to preach. However, sometimes they end up delivering different messages because God guides them in unexpected ways. Fr. Joseph may not know what will happen, but he is certain that God will touch everyone’s life. When they pray for people, manifestations, reactions, and miracles occur because they call on the name of Jesus.
The Power of Jesus’s Name
We believe in Jesus, and there is power in His name. When priests pray for people and lead adorations, they trust that God will anoint everyone present and the Holy Spirit will descend upon them. All things are possible for those who believe in Jesus, even if our belief is small and our faith weak. Fr. Joseph often expresses amazement at the miracles that occur during these services.
The Work of God
The way God works, transforms people, and performs miracles surprises them. Each service is unique, but across all services, regardless of the country, God performs His miracles consistently.
Scriptural Promises
Mark 16:17-18 states, “And these signs will accompany those who believe: by using my name, they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” We must not rely on our own power or prayer alone; we must trust in the power of the Lord. This is His promise.
The Power in Jesus’s Name
Acts 3:16 reveals, “And by faith in His name, this man, whom you see and know, was made strong. It is Jesus’s name and the faith that comes through Him that has given this complete healing in your presence.” If we recognize the power in the name of Jesus, we must accept Him as our Lord and Savior, deny all else, and embrace His name. Then, we and our families will be saved.
Challenges in Faith
Sometimes people complain that despite attending every live stream and repeating every word that Fr. Joseph gives, nothing happens. This indicates that these individuals are praying without true faith. If you have faith, how can you doubt? Such people are merely testing God, not truly believing that their prayers will lead to change when praying in Jesus’s name.
Persistence in Prayer
If we pray for healing and it does not occur, we should not lose heart. Believe that something will happen when we pray with faith. God turns everything to good because He has the ultimate authority.
God’s Will
We should not specify to God exactly what we want, like demanding a particular house. Instead, we should seek His will. Matthew 9:29 says, “Then he touched their eyes, saying, ‘According to your faith, let it be done to you.’”
And Mark 11:24 advises, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Accepting God’s Will
A man was praying for a specific house, and when the deal fell through, he was distressed. Fr. Joseph reassured him, saying, “Do not worry; God has heard your prayer.” Soon, the man received a better offer, which was God’s will manifesting in his life. Sometimes God’s answers differ from our expectations, but His will is always perfect.
Living in Jesus
John 15:7 states, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” If we truly live in Jesus and He in us, our only request will be for eternal life. Most of us do not fully live in God; we do not immerse ourselves in Scripture or truly know Jesus, yet we seek healing and miracles.
Finding Scripture for Every Need
Every need or desire aligns with a scripture. For example, there are scriptures for a house, healing, or a job. Find these scriptures, claim them, and pray with faith. God will hear you. For needs not directly mentioned in the Bible, pray, “Lord, if it is Your will, let it happen. Your will be done, not mine.”
Submitting to God’s Will
Luke 22:42 illustrates, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” There are times when we can claim God’s word, and times when we must simply pray for His will to be done, trusting that He will remove any obstacles.
