“Anyone who resolves to do the will of God will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own.” – John 7:17
As human beings, we all have a free will and our own conscious, informed choices. We can either decide to follow the Will of Our Lord or to follow one’s Own Will which is usually conformed to the world and all it’s worldly possessions.
“For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.” –Matthew 16:25
Though people claim to be the disciples of Jesus, but their wavering faith and trust proves otherwise. Then Jesus told his disciples, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” –Matthew 16:24
“ Many proclaim themselves loyal, but who can find one worthy of trust? ” –Proverbs 20:6
Those who live their lives conformed to this world, may not abide by the Word of God. But, those who abide by God’s word receive eternal life and glory. It is the Holy Eucharist and Holy Scriptures that give us the peace, blessings to live on earth and thereafter in the kingdom of God.
For it is Holy Trinity of Abba Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit that lives in us to lead us.
As Jesus Christ obeyed God the Father and his commandments, so, should we. We are called to live holy lives pleasing to the Lord. It is our duty to keep the Holy Commandments just the way Jesus Christ loved God the Father and kept his commandments. This ensures the divine grace and love that Abba Father and Jesus have for each one of us.
“ If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I am commanding you today, by loving the Lord your God, walking in his ways, and observing his commandments, decrees, and ordinances, then you shall live and become numerous, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.” –Deuteronomy 30:16
Following One’s Own Will or selecting to be conformed to the world may give one all the happiness, joys and satisfactions that one could ever hope, dream of or experience in life.. However, all these worldly possessions and achievements aren’t long lasting nor will all this give one the true everlasting happiness that is only found in the kingdom.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is it ” – Matthew 6:34.
Each day has it’s own share of troubles and worries. Instead we should surrender our lives to the Lord.
Jesus Christ gives one the graces and strength to endure the sufferings, temptation and trials that is bearable to one. This essential for one’s sanctification. When called upon Jesus Christ, he relieves one of all the sufferings and trials.
The Lord gives his people the grace and strength to endure everything they face in their lives.
Galatians 5:1: “For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”
One’s impression in the world along with all of one’s worldly possessions are no Spiritual significance to the Lord. Living a life conformed to the world and as per one’s own will, will cause one to sin thus exposing one to sinful and evil deeds which is totally unacceptable, hurting to the Lord.
It is through sin and sinful deeds that one becomes a slave to sin. For the sake of the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our sins, one should lead a holy life pleasing to God.
Psalm 34:14 : “Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.” One should refrain from all evil ways and doings, so as to get eternal peace. Thus, keep doing good. One should be mindful of one’s speech and choice of words as gentleness prevents vengeance and indignation while, rudeness results in fury.
God’s love for each one of us is the truest, purest and selfless love and attention we can ever get from not even from any human beings.. It is unconditional and everlasting. The Lord loves us irrespective of our flaws and weaknesses, Abba Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit ,Mother Mary accept us just the way we are.
No person nor worldly possession is worth more than the true, unconditional and everlasting love, mercy, blessings, support, graces, constant presence we receive from Our Abba Father, Jesus
Christ, Holy Spirit, Mother Mary. They deserve to receive the topmost position and priority in our lives. Because they are worthy of Our Praise, Worship and Honor.
God is good, gracious and merciful. Those who believe in the Word of God find everlasting joy, happiness and peace in the Lord. Abba Father and Jesus Christ love us unconditionally, irrespective of our sins, shortcomings or weaknesses. Their love for us is true, limitless, everlasting.
And the Lord God commanded the man, “You may freely eat of every tree of the garden;but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die.” – Genesis 2:16 -17
There’s no true happiness or satisfaction to live for oneself, to propagate one’s own glory and seek own praises.. This would surely secure a desirable position in this world but not in the Kingdom of God.
For it is the Lord who gives one peaceful sleep and it is Lord who provides for all one needs in this life on earth and thereafter. It is only prayer that will save us from troubles in life, the day of judgement at the end of time. The Lord will support us and give us the eternal peace he promised.
There is no power mightier than the Lord, hence, we need not fear anyone or anything. Abba Father says to us not to be afraid of any problem or difficulty as he assures us of his help and his presence with us at times. Those who have the trust and faith in the Lord, will be timely protected and saved.
2 Timothy 4:18 – “The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”
Jesus Christ saves us from our transgressions and inequities so that we may enjoy everlasting life in heaven.
Whatever we do, we should do it out of love for God and for the glory of God. As God’s people we should do only good deeds and refrain from doing any evil in return.
He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of others; but God knows your hearts; for what is prized by human beings is an abomination in the sight of God.” –Luke 16:15
It is our duty to obey, follow and keep the Holy Commandments as this ensures the presence, glory, graces as well as the mighty protection of the Lord, always.
We need the Lord’s help and guidance to live our lives as per the will of God. The Lord has total control and command over all and everything ( living and non-living) in this world and beyond..
The Lord knows all our sufferings, it is in him, we find our help and refugee. It is the Lord we should trust, hope, pray, worship and give our thanksgiving to.
Our Lord knows the trials we face or will face. He bestows on the graces to endure these sufferings to emerge victorious. It is because of the Lord’s unconditional and everlasting love for us that saves us from all the dangers and trials in life.
We will find our solace and safety with the Lord. It is the Word of God that gives us the strength and hope. It is through Prayer and Thanksgiving to Jesus Christ that we can achieve what our hearts desire, as per the will of God. If one keeps the Holy Commandments, one is assured to be blessed by God.
1 Corinthians 15:57 : “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
We should honour, praise, worship and follow only One God.. Abba Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and no other Gods. When we live our lives in ways pleasing to God, God showers his graces and blessings upon us.
“Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.” –Proverbs 21:21 As we honour and worship our Lord, he will continue to shower his graces and blessings upon us.
We should pray to the Lord everyday of lives as we belong to the Lord and are his people. It through prayer that we receive favours, when we seek the Lord, we will have God’s presence in our lives and this paves the way for our place in the kingdom of God and thereafter in heaven.
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” –John 6:35
God has a plan and purpose for each one of us and until we fulfil this mission we shall not depart this earth. “ am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.” –Philippians 1:6
It is our duty to live a righteous and holy life so as to be deserving to be in the Kingdom of God. As we all belong to the Kingdom of God, there is no individual or influence that is mightier than the Almighty God. So we need not fear.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1 . God knew us before we were born and his mighty and timely help is a promise to each of us. Abba Father, Jesus Holy Spirit, Mother Mary love us unconditionally irrespective of our trials.
John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life” Jesus Christ sacrificed his life by his crucifixion and death on the cross to redeem us from our sins, to renew our lives and tepid souls that went astray from the path chosen for us by the Lord.
Can one realise the depth and extent of Abba Father’s love for each one of us? To permit the crucifixion of his only beloved son Jesus Christ so as to redeem our lives, to cleanse us from our sin. It is this faith in the Lord that will save us from fires of hell so as to be in Kingdom of God in heaven enjoying eternal life. It is due to the Father’s unfailing love and mercy for us, that our sins have been forgiven by the death of his only son Jesus Christ on the cross, thus, redeeming our tepid souls.
“As you know, we dealt with each one of you like a father with his children, urging and encouraging you and pleading that you lead a life worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.” –Thessalonians 2:11-12
